In the 1990s, Yugoslavia fell apart in the blood of its people. This disintegration was carried out by nationalist forces that emerged at the top of the system itself, reviving all those criminal ideas and collaborative forces that were defeated during the People’s Liberation Struggle (PLS) during World War II.
More than two decades after the end of the inter-ethnic conflicts, the rapid development of the general capitalist crisis and the rise of inter-imperialist tensions, war drums are heard again in the ruins of Yugoslavia. Once again, they’re playing with nationalist madness that would engulf the masses and spark new clashes. Again, weapons rattle, form criminal phalanxes and accelerate militarisation of Serbia, Croatia, BiH, Kosovo and other parts of the Balkans.
The enemies of the Balkan people today are the imperialists, with their occupying boot, their bases, their multinational monopolies, their banks and debt slavery that they imposed via neocolonialism.
The enemies of the Balkan people today are all of their puppet regimes, ready to serve these occupiers in looting and trampling on their own people and interests.
The enemies of the Balkan people today are all nationalist and fascist hordes, who under various flags, serve their powerful masters, want to realize their insane and reactionary ideas, all on the blood of others and their own people.
We, the followers of the ideas of PLS, and struggles of all Balkan peoples, are determined today to defend these ideas and oppose the coming war that can engulf the entire Balkans.
We call on all truly progressive and liberated parts of the Balkan peoples to decisively assume their historic role in defending their peoples and their countries in the joint fight against the imperialist occupiers, the ruling gangs of bourgeois dictatorships and their nationalist and fascist falanges trying to push our people into new wars.
